We are a slipper school!

We wear slippers in school. This helps to keep us calm and allows us to concentrate more easily. It adds to the ‘family feel’ that we want in our school and the children and staff really love it!

Please send in slippers that can be left in school. Any type is fine although the big bear foot claw slippers can be a little impractical!

Read the research about slipper schools.

Please think carefully about whether you need to buy black school shoes. Some children now wear trainers, as we change into slippers once inside. This is absolutely fine and far more practical for the children at playtime – nothing too fancy though please as we still want to look extra smart!

P.E. kit

P.E is an important part of the curriculum. We want the children to look good and feel good when exercising.

Please provide a plain white t-shirt or black polo shirt (available from Clubsports/Trutex), black shorts and pumps/trainers. The children may wear black tracksuit trousers in the winter.

P.E. kit should be sent into school on the first day of school each half term. Your child will have allocated days for P.E., but we do go out for a run whenever possible, so pumps/trainers are always needed in school. P.E. bags will be sent home for washing at least every half term or before if they start to get smelly!

Our black P.E. polo shirts are more expensive than a plain white t-shirt, but they are much more practical as they stay clean and do not get screwed up in the bottom of the P.E. bag.

Buy a larger size and it will last longer!
