Year 6 had a visit from a Viking to launch our topic - Raid, Trade and Invade.  They got to experience life as Viking and even hold some Viking tools and weapons.  For Odin! 

Anti-bullying Week

We celebrated anti-bullying week by having an 'odd socks day' to remember that we're all individuals and to celebrate our differences.  

Science: Transporting nutrients

We've been learning how nutrients are transported around the body. We went outside to create our own physical recreation of the process!

Coasts: Rock formations

Year 6 used modelling putty to create different rock formations caused by erosion.

Monet artwork

We've been studying art in the style on Monet.  We used watercolours to create paintings inspired by Monet's waterlily pictures.  


We've been getting lots of use out of the school's new Chromebooks.  We've been using them in Computing lessons to create presentations.

Pudsey Run

We took part in the school's Pudsey run for Children in Need.  We Year 6s were great at supporting the younger children.  Well done!

Year 6 have been busy designing and making cam mechanisms.  They've been using a range of tools including saws and glue guns to form the frame of their models.  

Behold our completed cam mechanisms!  They look absolutely fantastic and the children learnt lots of skills along the way - well done Year 6!
