I joined the Colwall Team in September 2023 in Year 1. My favourite subjects at school were P.E and English, which I also have a passion for in my teaching. In my spare time, I love to get active. I am a huge football fan, and I enjoy a long run. In addition, reading for pleasure is another one of my hobbies (I love a fiction book).
I am so glad to have joined Colwall Primary. It is an amazing and welcoming school!
Miss Georgie Simpson BA (hons) Primary Education with QTS
Kingfisher (Year 2) Class Teacher
My most enjoyed subjects at school were Art, Science and English – which are some of my favourites to teach now! So far, my favourite thing about teaching is finding ways to bring excitement and curiosity into my classroom. In my free time, I enjoy baking, gardening and doing all things art and crafts! I also love to curl up with a good book or my favourite video games! I am loving working at Colwall and feel completely at home here.

I joined the Colwall team in 2019 teaching Year 5 which was brilliant! I am now into my third year teaching Year 4 and loving every minute. It has been a wonderful journey so far. When I was a school pupil, I absolutely loved PE and (most) of my Maths lessons. Similarly to Mrs Harrison, I now love being on the teaching side of things and teaching PE and Maths is my passion. Equally, I love teaching topic-linked learning as I find it fascinating learning from the children as well. When I’m not at school, I enjoy running, being involved in my local church and having cuddles for my sweet cat Hugo.
Miss Harriet Flight
English Language and Japanese BA (Hons), PGCE
Red Kite (Year 5) Class Teacher
I am excited to start my teaching journey at Colwall. I love exploring topics with the children and learning with them too! My favourite subjects at school were English, History and Languages! I love diving into imaginative fantasy worlds or flying through galaxies in science fiction. I find History fascinating and would love to have a go at archaeology or mudlarking – having a go at digging up the past and connecting with a time long gone. I love learning about different cultures and I would love to broaden children’s horizons through them exploring and experiencing cultures different from their own. When I’m not at school, I’m reading, buying more plants, playing video games and cuddling my guinea pigs.

I’ve been teaching at Colwall for over 25 years – that’s how special this school is! The atmosphere around school is always friendly and there’s usually something exciting going on. I enjoy teaching all year groups but especially love teaching PSHE. In my spare time, I love going on forest or beach walks with my 2 boys and our dog called Honey (who is possibly the cutest dog in the world!)

I have worked at Colwall for 10 years and I have worked in all year groups across both Key Stages. When I was at school one of my favourite subjects was Maths, I still enjoy it now. When I get some spare time, I also enjoy gardening and sewing. I love working at Colwall because it has friendly staff and lovely children that always lift my spirit. It is like my second home.
Mrs Sarah Phillips
Wrens (Reception) Class
I started at Colwall Primary School in September 2006. Although I loved every subject at school, I especially enjoyed cooking lessons, at home I love to bake. Outside of school, I enjoy walking my Norfolk Terrier Hattie, as well as visiting the theatre. Colwall Primary School has an idyllic setting below the Malvern Hills making it a lovely place to work. It is also very rewarding to see pupils learning new skills and developing their understanding in lessons.
Mrs Julie Jennings
Wrens (Reception) / Kingfisher Class (Year 2)
I started working at Colwall school in 1999, and hadn’t planned to stay so long. I’ve made life long friends and enjoy being part of a team. There’s never a dull moment and I am constantly learning from the children. During my own days at school, my favourite subjects were PE, Art, English Literature and History. I am fortunate to live in Colwall and love nothing more than walking the hills and cycling in the surrounding area. When I am at home, I enjoy reading, drawing listening to music and growing vegetables on my allotment.
Mrs Natalie Edwards
Goldfinch (Year 1) Class
My time at Colwall started as a reading helper when my daughters attended this school. After going to college, I started my first role in 2017 in Year 3 as a Teaching Assistant. Since then, I have mainly spent time supporting children in KS2 however I am now in KS1 and enjoying that too. I love spending time at school, hearing the children have fun with their friends, and seeing all the fantastic costumes on dress-up days. When home I love spending time having BBQs with my family and friends and I also love taking my mischievous dog on long walks in the woods.

I have worked at Colwall for 17 years. I have worked in every class and enjoy the challenges each year group presents. From all around the world in Wrens to surprise Year six trips. When I was at school I was a solid middle of the road all-rounder. I was lucky enough to play the violin and oboe! I played hockey and basketball and represented my school on many an occasion. I love being in my garden and we grow veg and lots of lovely flowers. I love working at Colwall as it’s a warm happy place full of great staff and wonderful children.
Miss Katherine Buckle
Golden Eagle (Year 6) / Wren Class (Reception)
I started at Colwall nine years ago, I joined the same time as some as three other colleagues (and now they are really good friends) and I am grateful to work here with such wonderful people. My favourite subject when I was at school was art. I still enjoy art now and I sometimes go to art classes with Mrs Harrison. When I am not at school, I enjoy playing darts, meeting up with friends, drawing and going away on holidays. Colwall is such a wonderful place to work, the staff are caring and passionate about what they do and there is such a good atmosphere all around, not forgetting the beautiful views of the hills! I love making a positive difference into the children’s lives, nothing is more rewarding!
